You’re previewing Ry’s Cocoa TutorialUI Components

Segmented Controls

A Segmented Control is a horizontal group of buttons that let the user toggle a state (or multiple states) in your application. They can act as an alternative to radio buttons, checkboxes, or toggle buttons, and they also serve as the tabs for the Tab View component.

A few common uses of segmented controls

This chapter will explore the basic configuration of NSSegmentedControl, how to access its selected item(s), and the proper application of its many built-in styles.

Sorry, this is the end of the preview. To read the rest of this chapter, you’ll need to purchase Ry’s Cocoa Tutorial.
