The Slider component (represented by the NSSlider class) lets the user select a numerical value within a specified range. They are composed of a draggable knob, a bar, and optional tick marks. Common use cases for sliders include volume, brightness, and zoom controls.

Numerical input can also be collected via text fields and combo boxes, but sliders are unique in their ability to provide a graphical representation of the range of possible values.
